Coach Karlos Griffin - Varsity
Karlos Griffin has 17 years of coaching and administrative experience in youth athletics with a strong focus on the development of children and young adult by assisting them with their athletic and academic goals. Karlos is entering his 6th season as a Head Coach with the Rochester Redskins. Karlos has also served in the past as a Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator and Administrator for the Michigan Warriors and Ypsilanti Panthers working with children ages 5-14.
Karlos began his youth football career at age 8 and continued to play football in high school at Ferndale High School where he was a 3 year varsity team member and he also was a member of the basketball and track teams. Karlos earned All-Conference and All-County honors in both football and track in high school and honorable mention All-State honors in 1993 for football. He continued his football career collegiately at Bowling Green State University for 3 seasons as a Wide Receiver and Defensive Back.
Coach Griffin resides in Rochester Hills with his wife Angela and 3 daughters Naomi (19), Makaiya (16) and Mahni (8). Coach Griffin and his family love being a part of the Rochester community and Redskins organization!
Coach Mike Bentley - JV Gold
Mike Bentley is beginning his 5th season with the Rochester Redskins and his third year as Head Coach. He also spent two years as an assistant on the Jr. Freshmen Gold, including the Jamboree Champion team of 2017.
Coach Bentley began playing youth football in 5th grade for the Shelby Lions and continued through High school at Utica Eisenhower. Coach Bentley has also spent the last several years coaching youth baseball and basketball teams.
Coach Bentley resides in Rochester Hills with his wife Melissa, three sons and their dog Boomer. Coach Bentley's 3 sons have all played for the Rochester Redskins Organization, this year his youngest, Owen will play on JV Gold.
Coach Tim Youngblood - JV Maroon
Tim Youngblood will be our 2020 JV Maroon Head coach! Tim is entering his 8th year as a coach for the Rochester Redskins. Tim was the Freshman Maroon Head Coach in 2019 and led the team to an undefeated season capped off with a Super Bowl victory. Tim also was the Head Coach in 2017 and 2018 for the back to back Super Bowl champion JV Maroon team. He led the 2016 Freshman Maroon team to the Superbowl where they took 2nd place and in 2015 made it to the semi-finals with the Freshman Maroon team. He has coached 6 years at Anchor Bay High School at the Freshman, JV and Varsity levels in addition to 1 year at Warren Fitzgerald High School. Tim also coached 1 year with the Romeo Junior Bulldogs. Tim played high school football at Utica Eisenhower High School, receiving numerous honors including MAC Red MVP, First Team All-State and served as the Quarterback in the East West All Star game.
Following high school, Tim continued his football career at Hillsdale College from 1993-1998 where he was a 3 year letter winner. Coach Youngblood will have 1 son in the program (Wade, Freshman Maroon.) Married to Angela, they have a son JT (Redskins class of 2019) who will be a Freshman at Rochester H.S. in the Fall. They also have a daughter Lucy who will be a Junior at Stoney Creek and Peyton (Redskins class of 2015) who will be a Freshman at CMU in the fall of 2020.
Coach Matt Siskosky - Freshman Gold
Matt Siskosky is in his second year as coach with the Redskins Organization. He was an assistant coach on Freshman Gold last year and returns this year as head coach. He has played and coached football at the youth, high school, and Division 1 college levels.
Coach Siskosky started playing football in the Farmington Rockets organization in 6th grade. He played football at Farmington High School, where he was a 4-year varsity letter winner. He was awarded All-Conference, All-Area, and All-State as a linebacker his senior year. He went on to participate in the 1992 MHSAA East-West All-Star Game.
Following high school, he went to Yale University, where he was also a 4-year letter winner as a linebacker. As defensive signal-caller, he was a CoSIDA Regional Academic All-American and won the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 1995. While at Yale University, Coach Siskosky played and learned under current University of Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown.
Coach Siskosky lives in Oakland Township with wife Jaime and 4 children: William (Freshman Gold), Elle (Junior Freshman Cheer), Delila, and Dwight.
Coach David Morgan - Freshman Maroon
Coach Morgan is entering 6th year coaching for the Redskins organization and second year as Head Coach. He was the Head Coach in 2019 for Jr. Freshman Maroon; and prior to that he was an assistant coach for 4 seasons for Freshman Maroon and Jr. Freshman Maroon.
Coach Morgan began playing youth football in the 4th grade and continued to play through high school at Ferndale High School. He earned all conference honors as a varsity player and competed in wrestling, baseball and track. Coach Morgan excelled in wrestling while in high school, where he won multiple conference, district and regional titles. He was a 3x All-State placer and won an individual state championship in 1993.
Coach Morgan continued his wrestling career in college at Morgan State University and Michigan State University. While at Michigan State University from 1994-1998, he was a 3x Big Ten Champion, 3x All-American and NCAA Finalist.
Coach Morgan resides in Oakland Township with his wife Michelle and 4 sons: Jace (Varsity), Deacon (JV Maroon), Cullen (Freshman Maroon) and Hudson.
Coach Bryan Heckman - Junior Freshman Gold
Coach Bryan Heckman – Junior Freshman Football
Bryan Heckman is starting his 4th season (‘16,’17,’19) as the Jr Freshman Gold head coach, 5th in total with the Redskins. Head coach of the ‘17 and ‘19 Junior freshman Jamboree and Superbowl championship teams, respectively.
Bryan played high school football at Portage Central High School, receiving All-Conference honors. After high school, Bryan earned 4 varsity letters in football at Albion College. He started 18 straight games, earning All-Conference honors on 3 conference championship teams.
After college, Bryan worked with several different high school programs serving various roles and retired last year from officiating MHSAA football.
Coach Bryan resides in Oakland Township with his wife Lori and their three sons - Bradley (JV Gold), Jeremy (JF Gold), and Ryder (future Redskin).
Coach Andrew Weaver - Junior Freshman Maroon
This will be Andrew Weaver's first season coaching with the Rochester Redskins as the Head Coach of Junior Freshman Maroon. Andrew has coached four seasons of youth flag football here in Rochester.
Andrew has played football starting in 3rd grade through high school, in Jackson county. During his junior & senior season he also coached youth tackle football.
Andrew and his family (wife & 3 kids) live in Rochester. His oldest son will be playing his first season with the Redskins this fall.
